Our fees
Below are our current fees and rebate options for psychology and psychiatry services.
Psychology
Our clinical psychologists offer ongoing psychotherapy.
If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Your GP will usually review your progress after the first six sessions.
Out-of-pocket costs depend on the clinician’s fee and the current Medicare rebate. We are happy to guide you through the referral process.
Psychiatry
Our consultant psychiatrists provide comprehensive assessments, medication reviews, and ongoing care.
If you have a referral from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for psychiatric consultations under specialist item numbers, such as 291 (one-off assessment) or 296 (initial assessment).
Out-of-pocket costs vary depending on the type and duration of the appointment. Our team can assist you in understanding which item applies and the rebate you may be eligible to receive.
Medicare Safety Net
The Medicare Safety Net is designed to protect individuals and families from high out-of-pocket medical costs. Once a patient reaches a certain threshold of annual out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare-covered services, the Safety Net increases the Medicare rebate for subsequent services, effectively reducing the cost of further appointments. For psychology and psychiatry sessions, this means that patients may receive a higher rebate once the threshold is reached, making mental health support more affordable.
