Dr Simon Barritt is a consultant psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience providing comprehensive mental health care. He combines clinical expertise with a calm, collaborative approach that supports people in navigating a wide range of mental health concerns.

Simon completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester, England, and obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2012. He has worked extensively within the Tasmanian public health system, gaining broad experience in treating depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), personality disorders, and psychosis.

He has a particular interest in rural mental health, and values the opportunity to serve smaller communities. In his practice, Simon works closely with each person to develop tailored treatment plans that reflect both evidence and individual needs. His manner is often described as thoughtful, compassionate, and steady, helping to create a safe and supportive environment for care.
